Contact Lenses Cleaner
A Contact lenses cleaners is not the same thing as contact lense solutions. Solution is to keep them hydrated while they are not in your eyes while cleaners actually do more. They remove protein build-up and other minerals secreted by your eyes that could cause corneal scarring or otherwise harm your eyes. There are several “all in one” contact kits that have a contact lenses cleaner / solution in the same product. These are a great idea, but make sure you use a brand that is well known because if your contacts get to dry from the cleaner or if ti does not remove the mineral build-up enough then your contacts can get real uncomfortable real fast. Not all products clean the same. Some brands will leave your contact lenses cleaner than others and some will not get rid of certain minerals.
Certain people have different mineral content in there eyes and so it may be necessary to ask your optometrist to recommend a specific contact lense cleaner for your needs. See my post titled “Contact Lense Care” to get info on how to make your contact cleaning easier.
